TABLADILLO QUALITY
Innovation and development of new product lines development of industrial processes. New and updated production processes on our farms. WE CARE ABOUT OUR PRODUCT, WE CARE ABOUT YOU
We have specific plans that guarantee animal welfare and avoid stressing the animals, for a more tender and juicier meat. Large farms, with up to 20% more space per animal than required by European regulations. Mothers have a period of interpregnancy greater than the minimum required between gestational periods, so our animals can relax and rest. Facilities equipped with the latest food production technology based on stringent hygiene conditions and established good handling and hygiene practices, with physical, chemical and microbiological controls, as well as metal detection and temperature control during all our processes, to guarantee food safety. Sustainable activity, integrated organic waste management and our own sewage treatment plant so as to comply with the requirements of Duero Hydrological Confederation. Organic waste is used as natural fertilizer in our grain fields where the 100% natural feed for our mothers is grown.
The three linchpins of our R&D departments are the development of new product lines derived from suckling pig (Al Horno y Punto), innovation and development in industrial processes (new cooling and packaging systems, among others) and development of improvements in the productive processes (improvements at farms and in food safety)
RECOGNITION
Since 2017, with the launch of Al Horno y Punto, Tabladillo has been awarded the highest score by the International Taste Institute (a jury of more than 200 international chefs), renewing its seal of quality annually and obtaining 2 Crystals Awards in its category.
It is part of the family of Spanish Food Awards and has won other major innovation awards such as Salon Gourmets and Innoval , as well as the DLG in Germany and Great Taste in the United Kingdom.
The International Taste and Quality Institute – iTQi –, based in Brussels, is the leading organization dedicated to tasting and promoting superior tasting food products. A prestigious jury of more than 200 international chefs judge different aspects of the product, such as smell, taste or first impression.
During the last years, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 several of our products, such as Al horno y Punto’s Cuarto, Roti de cochinillo or the Pate de cochinillo Tabladillo have been awarded with two and three stars, the highest recognition, reaching ratings above 95 out of 100. In addition, we have achieved with Al horno y Punto and, our Roti de Cochinillo the desired Crystal Award, granted only to products with more than three stars for three consecutive years.
In 2023, we got our last 3 stars for our SIN FRÍO roast suckling pig. The first suckling pig on the market that can be kept without refrigeration for 120 days. A milestone in innovation in the meat sector.
GREAT TASTE Is the prestigious seal of quality that recognizes the quality of food and beverages from around the world. Known as the English “Oscars” of food, Great Taste is composed of an expert jury that tastes each of the products presented. In this 2017 three of our products have been recognized and awarded by this organization: Al horno y punto with 2 stars and our whole suckling pig and suckling pig roti with one star.
